Sound # 3

Before heading directly deep into the Kettle Moraine Park, I quickly noticed how distinct the bird calls were. This was my first initiative to start recording. While still on the beginning of the path, I set my recorder on some shrubs near the ground. Here, I wanted to record just the sounds of the birds. I was uncertain at the time how well they would sound. While I was recording, cars from the highway just across the park were speeding past. At first, I did not like that it was interfering with my bird sounds.. But, when I listened to the recording later, I liked the fact that the transition from recording in the city, to the park, went more smoothly that I had thought it would. This is what I heard:
